WHAT IS THE HEMLOCK WOOLY ADELGID?

The Hemlock Wooly Adelgid is a non native invasive insect that entered our country from Asia. It has no natural predators so it is extremely destructive, decimating trees in as little as four years in the South Eastern United States.

EXPERIENCE:

I became experienced with the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid while serving as Grounds Supervisor at Young Harris College. I had several large Hemlocks on the campus that I needed to protect. I began a monitoring program and eventually noticed the insect had finally reached our campus. I implemented a treatment strategy to protect our trees. After resigning in 2006 I began my company, Grow It Green, and have successfully treated several thousand trees. We would like an opportunity to help you save your Hemlocks.

PRICING:

We strive to provide fair and competitive prices (No Price Gouging). Prices are generally based on the diameter of the trees treated. Other factors we take into consideration are: treatment method required, lay of land, number of trees being treated, soil type, etc……… Please call for a FREE ESTIMATE TODAY.

 

TREATMENT METHOD:

Our primary method of treatment is by soil injection using a product containing 75% imidacloprid. Under certain situation we can spray dormant oils or use other insecticides.

Grow It Green is a licensed and insured company. We maintain a Pesticide Contractor’s License which is required by the Department of Agriculture.
